Winter Break Project Resources

Have a question? Need online help? Need help in person?

1. Add me as your Friend on Facebook: Ms. Kelly's Teacher Facebook. Get updates and see photos of teammates during office hours at our Class Facebook | History Hunger Games

2. First Come First Serve, Office hours sign up: Office hours are first come, first serve, and limited to six students per hour. At the moment, you may only sign up for one hour in the month of December, so that more students will have a chance to get help. More office hours may be available in January, depending on my personal schedule. If so, I will send a follow up email.

Digital Resources:

CIA Factbook: This is the only website you have permission to collect data from. If you need help with your analysis and google for other websites, you must get those sites approved by me before using them as a credible source of information. The World Factbook provides confirmed information on the history, people, government, economy, geography, communications, transportation, military, and transnational issues for 267 world entities.

Countries of Africa (The new version with proper formatting)You may make a copy of this document and type straight into it, or reprint it if you have lost your original and write on it by hand. All packets must be printed out and turned in as a paper copy so they can be taken apart and graded according to section by each Gamemaster.

Ms. Kelly's Egypt Analysis Exemplar.
Please note the following if you choose to make a Prezi or powerpoint:
  • I did not just list my data.
  • I did not write paragraphs or put everything I wanted to say
  • I combined my analysis with the data in short bullet point
  • I added relevant pictures and then described those pictures in my presentation
  • I used text colors that could be seen easily on the background
  • I combined topics when it made sense
  • I zoomed into categories within a frame so that they could be easily read

Possible Ideas for SS Presentations

Note: I haven't taught you all of these so you'll need to teach yourself if you want to use them.
