Do Now:
1. On the front page of your agenda write the following website:
www.HistoryHungerGames.com
2. Take apart the BINGO worksheet from tonight's homework. Then complete the following:
- DO NOT WRITE A HEADING ON THIS PAPER, THE OWNER SHOULD BE A SECRET!
- Fill in the center square on your BINGO card with one thing about you.
- DO NOT write your name or anything in any other square.
Step 1: BINGO RULES
- Silently and carefully move about the classroom in search of teammates that a fact on your BINGO card.
- The fact can be the one the participant wrote during the DO NOW or another one on the card.
- Teammates can only sign one box per card.
- If the box is marked "SHARE," it requires that the teammate sign AND share more information related to that fact.
- Example: For "Has traveled to another country," the teammate would sign their name and write down the country he or she has traveled to
- Unlike regular BINGO, in order to win, all boxes on the card must be filled in with a different teammate's signature.
Step 2: Share out some of the things we learned from Getting to Know you BINGO.
Step 3: Show the History Hunger Games website, including homework calendar and how to retrieve lost copies of homework.
Step 4: Discuss tomorrow's Social Studies diagnostic and expectations for taking exams in Ms. Kelly's class.
